Crafts!

On Saturday MCC's momma taught me how to crochet! I absolutely loved it, and so I began searching the internet for projects to do! I started crocheting a pretty pink scarf, and after I'm done I want to make cupcakes and teapots. If you're interested in crochet, you can view a tutorial video here.

There are lots of resources for yarn and crochet hooks at craft stores. If you're in the Baltimore area, you can visit Black Sheep Yarn in Timonium or LovelYarns in Hampden.

An Ode to Sperrys

As you may have read, I absolutely LOVE my Sperry Top-Siders. Not only are they the most comfortable shoes on planet Earth, they are also adorably preppy and nautical. You can't go wrong with sperrys, dark denim jeans, a white t-shirt, and pearls in the winter or shorts, a polo, and sperrys in the summer! They are extremely versatile, affordable, and precious! Besides the fact that they don't require socks! In honor of my love for Sperrys, here are a few photos of my favorite sperrys. You can find them here.

Women's Print Bahama- These are so festive! They would look great with Lilly or Vineyard Vines!

Women's Bluefish 2-Eye Boat Shoe- These are the classic Sperrys that I wear everywhere. I have the Linen Oat color pictured above.

Women's Bahama in Navy/White/Surf- It doesn't get more nautical than this! Besides the fact that they are extremely denim friendly!

Women's Angelfish Slip On Boat Shoe in Blush/Oat- PINK!

Women's Authentic Original Longpoint Boot in Dark Brown- These boots are adorable (love the bow!) and a great alternative to Uggs for the cold winter months! They're also a bargain on sale for $79.00.

Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered!

Does anyone remember the Bewitched the movie starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell? I absolutely love this movie and can't seem to find it in stores here in Baltimore. I did find it on Amazon for $.01! What a deal. I love Nicole Kidman's fashions in this film, particularly all of her skirts! What are some of your favorite movies?

What a way to make my day!

Sweet, Sassy, Southern, and Classy has given me my very first blog awards! I am so happy to have been given an award and I just love her blog! You should check it out right away! She's a college girl too and has the sweetest spirit about her. I think in real life we'd be great friends!

1. Tiffany blue. As you know, I LOVE Tiffany's and this festive color is quickly taking the place of pink as my favorite!

2. Labrador Retrievers. They are the sweetest dogs, and so full of love! If anyone out there is looking for a puppy, labs are the best! This is a photo of my friend Charlotte:

3. St. Jude's Childrens Hospital Charities. There must be a special place in heaven reserved for the men and women who work at St. Jude's. They make it possible for so many children to grow into the people they were meant to be, and are doing EXTRAORDINARY things for others.

4. My friends. Always and forever, I have the best friends in the world.

5. The library. I realize what a nerd I am, but I just LOVE being able to go somewhere and pick out however many books I like to take home and explore!

6. New beginnings. With the new year here, I am reminded of how I have the power to make everyday special. That may be the greatest gift of all.

7. The Blind Side. What an inspirational film, and Sandra Bullock's outfits are perfection! If you haven't seen it, check it out right away!

8. Ralph Lauren. Need I say more?

9. Sperry Top Siders. The best shoes on the planet.

10. LOVE. If there's ever an answer, it's more love.

New Blog Title!

This morning, I had an epiphany! Goodbye Monograms and Mimosas, Hello Pink & Green Girl in a Black & White World! What do you think?

Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.

Happy 2010! I have reached the third decade of my life, and I'm so very excited to see what the future holds! To start the new year off right, I have begun writing my plans in my brand spankin' new Kate Spade agenda! It is just too cute!
